I graduated from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology in 1998 after completing my five year double degree in Chiropractic. The knowledge that I gained is based on the scientific fact that the body is a self-regulating,self-healing organism. Every cell tissue and organ of the body is controlled by the nervous system If the nervous system is impaired, it can cause the malfunction of tissues and organs throughout your body. Doctors of chiropractic are the only health care providers who specialise in the detection, correction and prevention of this nervous system impairment known as the Vertebral Subluxation Complex (Subluxation). As your chiropractor, I will apply the knowledge I have gained to encourage your body to heal rather than force it to. We do not heal – only your body can do that. We trust the body’s ability to heal itself. Many childhood health complaints that are brushed off as “growing pains” can often be traced to the nervous system. Babies are a bundle of reflexes, these reflexes are controlled by the nervous system. Any compression to the nerves from a birthing trauma, long difficult labour or cranial moulding problems can interfere in these nervous system reflexes. This may lead to problems with feeding, colic, restlessness, irritability, ear infections, colds to name a few. We co-ordinate our care with specialist Lactation Consultants to provide optimal health for infants. I run pre-care seminars which are an excellent way to let our new clients, friends and family to learn more about chiropractic, meet our staff and ask any question.
